Here are some rawrsome fun facts about dinosaurs!

The hunt for new dinosaur fossils between paleontologists Edward Cope and Othniel Marsh was so fiercely competitive that it gave rise to the Bone Wars. The conflict raged for more than 30 years. Because he discovered more fossils and had better funding, Marsh is claimed to have “won” the conflicts.
Paleontologists are human, after all. For instance, Gideon Mantell (1790–1852) placed the thumb claw of an iguanodon on top of the animal’s nose. That state persisted for 40 years. Elasmosaurus, also known as the “thin plate,” was rebuilt by Edward Cope (1840–1897) with its head perched atop its tail. Apatosaurus (or Brontosaurus) used to be displayed in museums with the head of Camarasaurus (a “chambered lizard”).
