Egyptian Ships were the envy of many ancient civilizations due to their advanced design and construction. These vessels featured strong hulls made of heavy-duty timber and had a unique level of maneuverability, allowing Egyptian sailors to sail further than anyone else had done before. Egyptian ships typically boasted three masts with several sails across each mast, along with large cabins and plenty of room on the deck for carrying passengers and trade goods. Hundreds of Egyptian ships made their way upriver from ports in Africa to distant lands, traveling through rivers in the Mediterranean to trade exotic wares from places like Greece, Rome, and even Constantinople. Egyptian Ships quickly became a symbol of power, wealth, and exploration during this time period as they spearheaded vast trading expeditions that connected faraway lands and civilizations together.
