Feebas’s dorsal, anal, and tail fins are all ragged and torn. Feebas have an extremely variable appearance; the darker a Feebas’s body is, the more attractive it is considered to be. Feebas is often ignored due to its unattractive appearance; however, Feebas’s scales have a very tough texture.

Feebas live in murky waters and feed on plankton that drifts in the water. As seen in the anime, Feebas will only bite at Poké Balls if they are shiny. Due to its poor condition, Feebas is considered to be one of the weakest Pokémon. Feebas evolve into Milotic when traded holding a Prism Scale.
