When Lupin was exported to a nation where Leblanc’s work was still protected by copyright, this caused major issues. Due to this, the character’s original Lupin dubs were given the names Wolf (the English translation of his French name) or Rupan (the romanization of his Japanese name). Some of those dubs are still in use today and continue to cause confusion.
