Here are some fun facts about Puppies!

Puppies are simply irresistible, and we just can’t get enough of their cuteness. Did you know that there are more than 340 breeds of dogs in the world and every puppy has its own unique personality? Also, puppies are born deaf, blind, and toothless. They may look small and innocent, but they are pretty active and playful creatures. They love to play fetch and chase after toys, and they will go wild for a good belly rub.

Puppies’ first sense, which they develop after birth because most of their senses are not fully developed, is touch. A puppy’s mother will lick and nuzzle them almost immediately after birth, enhancing their sense of touch. Touch remains significant to your dog throughout its life.

The fact that puppies lose their first set of teeth, which makes them technically considered baby teeth, is another fascinating fact about puppies. At around 4 months of age, your puppy’s baby teeth will be replaced by adult teeth.

Similar to people, pups’ coat colors can vary as they age. The way that colors patches change and develops can vary by breed. For instance, dalmatians don’t get their well-known markings until they are two to three weeks old. If your puppy is purebred, you should be able to roughly estimate how they will look based on the appearance of their parents, but with crossbred or mixed breed puppies, it can be trickier.
