Quilava’s ears resemble eruption plumes, and its mane could represent lava flow. The Pokédex states Quilava bolts around constantly, which may imply Quilava are very active as well. Quilava is able to spit fire that can reach temperatures of nearly 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

Quilava Coat – A Quilava is born with a blazing-hot coat of fur. This coat later recedes as the Quilavaevolves into Typhlosion. Quilava has the ability Blaze. Blaze allows Quilava’s Fire-type moves to have 1.5 times their power when Quilava has low HP.

Quilava can shoot flames out of its mouth, and it has been known to set the tips of its tails ablaze as well. Quilava is a very brave Pokémon, and it will fight until the end even if it is outnumbered or outmatched. Quilava is also very protective of its Trainer, and it will not hesitate to use its fiery attacks to defend them.
