Toxitricity is a dual-type Poison/Electric Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. Toxitricity evolves from Toxel starting at level 30. Toxitricity is one of Galar’s new Pokémon. Toxitricity can have the Ability Levitate, which gives it immunity to Ground-type moves, or the Ability Storm Drain, which gives it immunity to Water-type moves. Toxitricity is a Poison/Electric-type Pokémon. Toxitricity’s name comes from the words toxic and electricity.

Toxitricity’s Japanese name, Miasmagear, comes from the words mysanthrope and gear. Toxitricity’s category name, shock danger zone pokemon, refers to its type combination being able to cause paralysis. Toxitricity is based on a newt with metal hair plugs and a boombox. It also could be based on the mythological creature known as the Raiju, which takes the form of a cat, fox, or weasel with blue-black fur and lightning bolts running through its body. It seems to be based on a poison dart frog. Toxitricity has the Ability Limber, which protects it from paralysis.

Toxitricity’s design was inspired by the British rock band Muse. Toxitricity will be appearing in the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion packs, The Isle of Armor, and The Crown Tundra. Toxitricity is able to produce both Poison and Electric-type moves, making it a valuable asset in battle. Toxitricity is also able to use the move Gigavolt Havoc, which is a powerful Electric-type move that has a chance to paralyze the target. Toxitricity is a fun and interesting Pokémon that will be sure to catch your attention in Pokémon Sword and Shield! Toxitricity is weak to Ground-type moves.
