Weezing is a Poison-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. Weezing is notable for its unique dual typing, as it is one of only three Pokémon that are Poison-type and have a secondary Dark-type. Weezing is a spherical Pokémon formed by two orbiting Weezing halves.
It has a thin body, beady eyes, bulb-like nose, and black spots on its body. Weezing releases smog from the spots on its body to weaken and immobilize its foes. Weezing is able to float by inflating its body with these gases. Weezing’s fumes are also able to put other Pokémon to sleep.
Weezing can be found in dark areas such as forests and caves. Weezing is also known to live near industrial areas, where it feeds on the pollutants in the air. Weezing was first seen in the anime episode “Poké Ball Peril”. Weezing is the evolved form of Koffing as of level 35.
Weezing is capable of Mega Evolution, Mega Weezing retains the Poison/Dark-type combination of its base form. Mega Weezing’s body becomes even rounder and more bloated, and it gains a third red spot on its side.
