Hippopotas is a Ground-type Hippo Pokémon. Hippopotas can be evolved into Hippowdon using 50 Hippopotas Candy. It is brown with a large, Once it buries itself in the sand, Hippopotas’s nostrils and eyes remain visible.

Its big teeth can crush rocks. Hippopotas are social creatures that live in herds. The Hippopotas herd will follow the lead of the Hippopotam Mum if it finds one it trusts.

Male Hippopotuses tend to be more aggressive than females and will fight each other for the chance to mate. Hippopotas are born in litters of two to five offspring. When they are born, their hide is reddish-brown.

As they age, their hide darkens and becomes more grayish-brown. Young Hippopotuses stay close to their mothers until they are around two years old. At that point, they leave the herd to start their own families.

Hippopotas herds often graze on grasslands near rivers or lakes. If its food supply runs low, a Hippopotam will dig holes in the ground to create storage areas for its food. These holes also serve as watering holes for other Pokémon and Hippopotuses when the weather is dry.

When it rains, the holes fill with water, which Hippopotus drinks.
