Sandile is a small, reptilian Pokémon that is mostly black with brown and white accents. Sandile has a short snout with four teeth on its upper jaw, and two teeth on its lower jaw. It has red eyes and a yellow-and-black pattern above each eye that resembles an eye patch.
Sandile has four short legs, each with two toes. Its back is covered in ridges, and it has a long tail. Sandile is mostly active during the day when it basks in the sun to raise its body temperature.
At night, it burrows into the sand to sleep. Sandile lives in arid deserts and savannas. Sandile preys on small insects, which it finds using the heat sensors in its nostrils.
Sandile can stand on its tail to intimidate predators or attract mates, as well as dig into sand to evade capture. Sandile evolves into Krokorok at level 29, and then into Krookodile at level 40. Sandile is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 292 that is not fully evolved.
Sandile is known to be very aggressive, and will not hesitate to attack larger predators if it is Base stats: 70 HP 82 Attack 115 Defense 65 Sp. Atk 65 Sp. Def 55 Speed 105 Total 480.
Sandile was first seen in the anime episode “The Battle Club and Tepig’s Choice!”, under the ownership of Ash.
