WHO IS NAOFUMI’S RIVAL?
Motoyasu Kitamura, popularly known as the Spear Hero, is unquestionably the one who is closest to this. Motoyasu invites Naofumi to his party while siding with the person who betrayed her, Malty. Motoyasu is tricked into getting in Naofumi’s way by Malty throughout the course of the series.
The first one ends with Naofumi losing (by cheating), but every subsequent match between the two has…significantly funnier outcomes. He still opposes Naofumi, though, and acts as a challenge for the Shield Hero to go over.
